CROWN G1 EASY 4D™ Torpedo Bee MDL FLOATING DIAMETER NEUROVASCULAR EMBOLIC COIL AND

BARRACUDA™RAPID, RETRACTABLE DETACHMENT SYSTEM

Currently available 3D coils have multiple 2 dimensional circular and/or large omega shape loops. While in their lower energy states and when it is open in the air, they are not squeezable enough to reach maximum filling rate. The first part behaves like a basket (framing) while advancing into the aneurysm sac and expected filling begins following shapes deployed. Irregular anatomical aneurysm shapes along with the limitations of geometrical aspects of 3D coils create weak conformity and uncertainty to properly size coils, which causes oversize and/or undersize coiling. Inappropriate sizing of coils is directly related to exerting high pressure on the aneurysm wall, resulting in either incomplete security against rupture or late recanalization of the aneurysm due to coil compaction. Any of these cases will often be regarded as a treatment failure. Avoiding compartmentalization and securing optimal wall apposition is crucial in the endothelization process and successful aneurysm occlusion.

Disruptive, novel 4D design of Coil Shape technology of Neuravention Crown G1 4D Torpedo Bee MDL Coils offers new approach and understanding to aneurysm occlusion therapy. This groundbreaking new shape technology provides a safe and effective treatment though a conventional platform and will achieve sustainable success by eliminating common challenges.

Crown G1 4D Torpedo Bee MDL has a unique design and patented geometry with various sizes of small loops as members of easily breakable Small Omegas (equal to the coil size diameter) and Large Omegas (larger than coil size diameter). These loops are connected by a variety of single and double transition loops which contain convex and concave curves that allow the loops to break and conform into countless shapes. The configuration of loops and geometries in the coil provide excellent anchoring for stable framing inside an aneurysm and utilizes a “floating diameter” to reduce the outward force of the framing coil, while still expanding to the aneurysm wall. The concept of a “floating diameter” eliminates the challenge of oversizing and/or under sizing coiling and allows for the treatment of all kinds of complex aneurysms from frame to finish, including those with large necks. This design also has high filling volume and packing density, while avoiding compartmentalization and herniation.
